The Templeman branch starts with Emily Templeman(102), one of my great-grandmothers. At the moment I know little for sure about this branch.
Emily Templeman(102) was one of my great grandmothers. The only information I have on her at present is that she married Charles Anthony Bertram(106) on 4 Sep 1882 at St. Mary's church in St. Marylebone, London. On the marriage certificate she is described as a domestic servant living at 48 Seymour Place, the same address as her husband. Her age is given as 21, implying that her year of birth was about 1861. The only Emily Templeman in the IGI with a date of baptism within 5 years of 1861 is an Emily Florence Templeman baptised at Hertford on 22 Oct 1865, daughter of a William Templeman and Elizabeth. However, on her marriage certificate our Emily's father's name is given as George Templeman (166)(deceased), so this can not be the one. However, the same William Templeman had other children with names Rosa Mary, George Henry and John Henry. The name Rose is one of the names given to my grandmother Rose Emily, and she called her daughter (by Frederick Parkyn) Rose Mary so it is possible that these two families were closely connected even if I haved not yet found the correct Emily Templeman.
The only reference to George Templeman(166) that I have at present is his naming as Emily Templeman's father on the marriage certificate of Emily and Charles Anthony Bertram(106), where he is listed as deceased and his occupation is given as Job Master. I do not know the name of his wife, nor whether he had other children besides Emily.
